Kappasm nice attempt bro but above keygen didnt work on my machine because i think you forgot the app id is diff for each machine and the hardcoded one you used is no good without a further patch to accept it which is easy enough but then that defeats the purpose of having it .Thats why i settled on patches as they work a treat and on any machine

In saying that though your keygen idea has got me wondering if i can make a proper keygen that doesnt involve any patching of the exe similar to the keygens i do for armadillo's elgamal..

Well your first step will be to break 1024-bit RSA key used to encrypt the activation code

ALSO im noticing very slight changes to there code which was messing with universal patcher so when i done the new patch for latest dspic i used a completely diff crack method which bypasses needing to have a licence key altogether...only thing needed in regfile is a serial=HCDSPIC-53118 so it shows something  in main window..the ACTIVATION key is completely phoney using any numbers whatsoever and the reason why u dont get any expiry data etc is because i now completely bypass date checking routine too...it compiles ok and runs normally so from mow on thats the way the others will be done also...and no uni patcher from now on itll be individual crack versions

I think I have found a bug in the patch for HI-TECH C DSPIC 9.60PL3 build 4951.

The compiler throws the following error:

I can get the code to compile by putting the "something" and "nothing" functions in two separate files, OR, by commenting out some of the case statements; either 1 case statement early in the switch, or two case statements at the end.

This problem does not occur when the compiler is installed in demo mode

Thanks Bunion.  I've attached a complete project.  I know the code in itself is meaningless but it represents the part of my code that's causing me trouble :-p

I've tried the compiler on several different Windows XP machines and reinstalled it several times.  As I said, I can only get it to compile if I install the compiler in evaluation mode.

program was compiling Ok with previous version
then, I installed the HCPIC18-pro-9.64.5502 Setup + Patcher
installation (plus patching ) went 100% all right

after selecting the right "include search paths ", especially the
C:\Program Files\HI-TECH Software\PICC-18\PRO\9.64\lib

I have following error

I tried with different processors and same problem, can not find the proper "plib-18fZxZx.lpp", being Z the number corresponding to the different cpus tried

Already verified if LIB directory has the necessary files, and they are there.

The new version is correct on the windows PATH

Any hint pls

Some patches only patch the soft, they don't change the about splash screen, you can only say the soft is patched. To prove it you have to run it, and see no limits in function of the soft.
Plus you don't say what version you used and or what patchs you tried.

as per the instructions below:


To install & register

INSTALL OFFLINE  as PRO USING 36668

Use patch and patch picc.exe
Use patch and patch cgpic.exe

Double click picc.reg file

Thats it!
