Two brilliant new shows (IMO), which you should agree with if you haven't caught that disease that turns you into a grownup.

Battlebots is back. Show is Sunday nights. Series is online, here:

The old marionette series Thunderbirds has been reincarnated with new episodes and, while still using set miniatures for the most part, the characters are all CGI. Show is Saturday mornings in the UK. Series is online, here:

your missing "The Clangers" A new true stop frame reincarnation.
The designer who brought to life classic children’s shows The Clangers, Ivor The Engine and Bagpuss has poured scorn on today’s use of CGI on the small-screen and hinted that the cloth cat and green locomotive could make a comeback  too.

We've never gotten those on this side of the big pond.

Coraline, Corpse Bride, Nightmare Before Christmas were all recent stop motions that come to the fore in my mind.

A lot of Baby Boomer Brits are bitching about the T-birds being CGI, but I think that is what will give the shows "stick" with the current generation of brats, spoiled by CGI everything. I doubt they'd tolerate jerky (motion, not personality) marionettes and visible strings, unless it's a parody like Team America World Police. Besides, T-birds is a new series and it has been already extended due to its popularity.

If you can spell "Linux" and "TCP/IP", you'll probably like the new show now starting up on the USA network:

This is the decade where nerds rule, LOL
