i am a 2 nd yr electronics engg. student and have a background of 8051 uc, basic electronics (ananlog and digital), signals and systems.
I also have a team passionate in robot building... which books do u suggest for us to start with ?

also if possible , can you plz list down what all subjects/topics are required for building autnomous robots(this is very imp for us)

which UC are you thinking to use like 8051, PIC or other  please plan first

you must determine what kind sensors do you need. accelerometers, gyroscopes, proximity... etc

hello, for basic robotics design, try and check Robot Builders Bonanza by McComb.
it also has simple robotics design that may help you start with, you can find it here.
