Hi everybody!!

I need to make a copy of some older audiocassettes and I want to record them in mp3 format. The problem is that actually I haven't got any cassette player with line out but I am thinking that maybe I could do it recording through the headphone port. The signal level must be low but I think remember that few months ago I read in some magazine (I don't remember which one... perhaps elektor or everyday practical electronics) an article with one scheme specifically designed for this... to amplify the headphone signal and record it. I am outside home now so I can't try to look for it by myself but if somebody is able remember in which number could it be and tell me I will de grateful… this way I could ask my parents to send the that magazine issue by mail. Thanks in advance!!

Use the Headphone output like a lineout. You can decrease the level simply with the volume pot. I think not that you nead a circuit for this...
