You could try typing variations of that phrase into your favorite search engine.
you could also try

or qualcomm.
The ARRL publishes an entire book on hacking and building spread spectrum systems.
For what it is worth, unless you have staggering development resources, I don't think a couple ICs are going to do you much good.

Apologies for bumping an old thread, just thought i should throw in my 0.02$ with the Si4432. Excellent transceiver that is easy to work with. SPI interface and switch outputs, SPI host takes care of FHSS scheme. I'm building a 10W ~470MHz transceiver pair ATM, but the chip goes to 930MHz. Recommended.

Another neat device I have used is the Semtech SX1231.
I've not implemented FHSS although it is possible.
