verde321,
The link is all about easyHID
As I know, HIDMaker & easyHID is totally diffrent software (correct me if I'm wrong). HIDMaker is not free but EasyHID is a freeware.

They aren't the same, but they do it the same If you not intend to ship a USB device. They generate complete usb code and fully functional programs, for both PC and PIC, that you can just add code in basic for compile and run your applications I have done various projects with easyHID and they are working completely. You have reason, one is free and another not More information in the link http://www.mecanique.co.uk/products/usb/easyhid.html

verde321, Appreciate if you can attached here one simple (proven working project) that used easyHID. If no problem to you, hopefully you can publish here schematic & PCB, PC appilcation (ie VB) with source code, hex code for PIC (also with sourcecode) and other related info for me to start with. I collect many infos but sound so complicated & I just newbie. Million thanks in advance for your kindness .. Mizk

My first project that i make successfuly is in the tutorial on the link above. This project is not mine, Giovanni Lafebre Of Ecuador is the author. The project is very simple only send a byte to portB (in this case PIC 18F2550) from PC via USB. Only follow it tutorial and it's done.

Nonetheless anyone have HIDMaker (or the new HIDMaker FS) ?
Its a much more powerful program than EasyHID. Specifically because it can create code with multiple endpoints as well as multiple device enumeration.
Very greatful if someone has it.

Hi verde321
you have written: "I have done various projects with easyHID and they are working completely."
I have a question concerning easyHID: how can you avoid stucking in the Read function when you have no data in receiving queue. Ther is no timeout in Read function (or I did not find).
Thank

The more general newer version "HidMaker32" seems interesting as a quick prototyping tool... except for the price tag.
