I want to convert variable AC square wave voltage to DC. The max square wave voltage is 24Vpp. Can you give me some advices, the link, the good way to convert it?
Thanks

what is the frequency? if is under 100-200Hz you can use normal rectifier bridge if is bigger you must use switching diode like those from switching power supply

The frequency is 75Hz. If I use normal rectifier bridge, what about with breakdown voltage of diode. The square wave sometime produces 1 volt or less. Does the AC to DC converter with opamp work fine for square wave input?

if you have need of accuracy you must use precision rectifier circuits made with operational amplifiers this d'ont have breakdown voltage see this link http://sound.westhost.com/appnotes/an001.htm

precision rectifiers with op amps might be the answer... what is the output current that u need?

Depends ...
If you need to transfer power, you need diode bridge
If you need to measure the amplitude, you need precision rectifier circuits with opamps.

Thanks for your suggestions. I will build rectifier with single supply opamps. what type of opamp is ideal for it (precision) ?
