Fish finding Sonar are very very costly? , Do you want to make that from scratch ,do you plan to make single beam system or 360 degrees scanning system

 Grin Wesmar HD 800 is  a very sofisticated sonar for professional use like  like fishing application capable of target tracking and multiple display windows etc etc.
it's very hard to make an home made sonar expecialy  for the tranducer, echo sounder will me much more easy, anyway please tell me what do you need exactly.

Yes, Piezo Electric Echo-Sonar Sounder  --I have once seen this article in RADIO-ELECTRONICS magazine back-issuues.

zawmintun1 , See the theory is very simple but practical aspect very difficult to achieve, Also I dont know in which region you live in are there spectrum discritions in the sonar frequency emmisons, what your military or government agencies  uses etc ,
