NoteMy current job is the research in electrochemistry and energy technologies area, sustainable chemistry and so on. I work in an Italian CNR structure as a grant researcher with PhD in chemical sciences...

apart from that i'm an electronics entusiast, with a full featured lab at home (for the desperation of who lives with me :D )

My specialities covers PIC programming, DC-DC conversion design (also with MPPT), renewable energies and linear magnetic accelerators. Actually I have started working on UAVs and IMU design using gyroscopic, accelerometric, magnetic, barometric and gps sensors from ST, actually I have completed the quaterion maths part and working on communications with the RC receiver, GPS module, and ESCs. The IMU will be used for either fixed wing UAVs (omniwing and marconi sailwing) or rotating wing ones (multicopters)

My projects include:
-Various type of coilguns
-High voltage DC power supplies
-Wind turbine
-Wind datalogger with SD card and custom sensors
-Projectile speed trap with 200ns resolution, statistics, energy calculations, custom floating point math
-Automomous baitboat (actually sold it :-( )
-MTTP for solar panel (hitted the 96% mark efficiency)
-and finally the AHRS

(some yourtube videos on the bottom of this post)

What I can bring to this forum? I want to share my past and in particular present experiences in electronics, in particular with pic programming. Wanna find also someone that shares the passion for IMU programming and UAVs... but not with Arduino (don't like it).

I want to join to stay, not just to take something and leave...
Hope to find someone interested in this field of electronics, in particular fixed point maths on PICs and so on..

Regarding the question if it is my hobby or Job: it is a hobby, but sometimes built something for other people (not for commercial purposes, here in Italy it is illegal without authorization). Now I have stick to UAVs
