FIDAP offers numerous physical and numerical models for simulations ranging from highly viscous laminar flows to fully turbulent flows. Complex free surface flows can be modeled with both the arbitrary Lagrange-Eulerian (ALE) and the volume of fluid (VOF) methods, in combination with solid deformation, if appropriate. Solid bodies can be included in the simulation either after a phase change (metal casting or crystal growth, for example) or as a result of fluid-structure interaction (FSI). Other multiphysics applications can be solved in FIDAP using models for electrohydrodynamics (EHD) and magnetohydrodynamics (MHD).
Optionally, an advanced expert interface allows for rapid modification of any parameter(s), whereas a simplified template (PRESTO) is available to help beginners through their first simulations. Advanced postprocessing is delivered by FIELDVIEW, the default postprocessor of FIDAP, which is embedded in the product.

1 - Download/Extract the rar file. Just use the pass stated above!
2 - Select *all* the zip files and extract them to a new folder.
3 - Access that folder.
4 - Rename all the .001, .002, .0** files with .r01, .r02, .r**.
5 - If the files already have .r01, r.02, .r** extensions, skip step 4.
6 - Right click on *one* of the .r** files and extract it to a new folder!
