i'm looking for a project or fpga implementation of taking an resolver input and output in quadrature , to enable an old 80's mill to be updated
to a more modern control system as EMC2 .

anyone have a workable solution , or idea's , removing the resolvers and changing to encoders is not an option on this machine .

I'm not that familiar with FPGA yet but why don't you use some Schmitt-Trigger to change the sine/cosine waves to a encoder like signal ?

It's just an idea but then you have at least a rectangular signal which can be converted to TTL level for further process.
