Since I started (after a long time) to mess around with embedded designs and had only LPC2xxx populated boards with CAN transceivers and a couple of boards with STM32103xx without CAN transceivers I prepared myself a breakout board for the use with any uC with CAN capability.

I have made a simple design that has a DB9 connector with the standard pin 2,7 connection and a female header for simple connection with bread boards. I've put a jumper on the board to enable/disable the terminating resistor for the CAN network.

With this board the transceivers are interchangable between the 5V and 3.3V variant.
