You also buy a smaller warehouse with hard drives for their storage Smiley
If you save documents on those drives, you better use pen and paper Smiley it will use much less room (space)  Smiley

It's really quite amazing how far we have gone,  Imagine 5MB then now they already introduce a solid state semiconductor based harddisk in several hundred gigabytes. No moving parts.  Seek time will be in micro or even nano seconds phew!!! (scary sometimes)

Yes, I still remeber our first 20MB HDD. It was a ST-202 or something... It's amazing how technology evolved.
