i ve been trying to make pcb using the auto router embeded with ares but when the autorouter is done it routes the trcks on two sides. please how cn i make it to do it on just one side. i mean a single side pcb using the autorouter.

system > set strategies > pair 1 (hoz) = bottom copper  (ver) = bottom copper
 
pair 2, 3, 4 = none  (OK)

Tools > autorouter > edit strategies > (repeat above)

The secret for One sided autoroute in Ares is to EDIT the Package type of each component . ( I made a personal librari for this )
During this edit , you define that the pads and connects lie on Bottom Copper layer , for example. You do that for all components you use. ( All red color for example ).

Woila !

Start using your personal defined packages right from isis when you do your circuits.

Has worked fine for me.
