Doesn't run on Windows 7 x64 (no error, just doesn't run), and I'm not sure it works properly on Windows XP SP3.
On XP, the app starts with an error 'the application failed to initialise properly'. Apparently it is caused by proficad chaining 'profiaux.exe' in the lib subdirectory. That file can be renamed to stop the error.
Also, the patch leaves an executable proficad of only about 2MB, when the original is over 5MB. Seems a bit unusual.

This version doesn't run on Win7x64 either.
Original version runs, but medicined version starts and ends without any notification.
VirusTotal says: Detection ratio: 3 / 55 : Packed/PECompact
Further investigation shows that the medicined version starts WerFault.exe, which is part of the Windows Error Reporting to track down errors relating to the operating system.
I tried starting it with different compatibility modes, but no luck.
It's bad medicine.
