A friend asking me if i have ever use Nokia 6100 Graphic LCD.

No I said, I have the LCD for some time but still can not find the connector in the local market.

His question challenge me to try to soldering small wires directly to the connector, here is the result.

Not bad huh? It can be done at least!  Grin Cool Cheesy

It would be a good idea to take a glue gun and glue those wire's down around the connection because any movement of the wire there will tear  them off and then you will have a problem for sure,so try and keep the wire around the connections from moving everytime you handle it.

Yup, I'll glue it later - can't glue it before taking the picture.

I take the picture by scanning it on a flat bed scanner, ordinary camera (without macro lens) can not get a clear picture of this tiny connector.

If your going to do alot of work with something then a breakout board like that is well worth the exspense as are alot of their other product's but if your only doing a one of a kind project than that's not worth it.
They have so much neat stuff there it's incredible ,if only we were rich enough  Wink

This is surely prettier than what I do.

On a related note, soldering SMDs is still out of my league - I've burnt my share of SMDs.
