Hi All,

I need to buy an LCD scope 2 channels. 25Mhz bandwidth is good for me. I'm thinking in buying a china made model. Brands like Owon, Rigol ATTEN or UNI-T.

We can find all these on ebay starting at 300 USD.

Anyone can recommend or have experience with this brands? I cannot afford Tektronix or similar.

Thanks in advance

I got a Rigol DS5102M and it work well .
It was at Hamtec in Germany last November for
like 650 to 700€ ...
It's a 100Mhz , but a 25Mhz must be cheaper  Wink
Anyway , for me it's enough and all the function made
it a good choice for that price.

Cya.

In my opinion, the Owon PDS5022 seems to be a good choice:
- Very affordable price.
- Good resolution (VGA 640x480) althrough it's only STN so contrast is  not good as an TFT.
- Have a nice peak detect mode.
- The update rate is a bit slow but quite useful.

There is also another good candidate. I have no opportunity to play with, but the specs seems OK: about 350..400USD (according to previous bids), 1Gs, 100MHz, 4 channels, TFT 640x480, 3yrs warranty, free shipping...
From the outside look, it's almost an Agilent clone.

Recently worked with ATTEN ADS1102 scope which is 100MHz and costing aroung $500. Very nice scope with a simple USB and RS232 based PC interface using software called Easyscope. I suppose Atten actually makes these scopes for Lecroy.
Also worked with Chinese USB based scope Hantek 1250 which is 50 MHz and costing aroung $225. It is quite handy for day to day stuff based on  SPI, I2C etc, also occupies very little space.

Reg www.ebay,com, article #190299422214 mentioned by you, I found the following link which may apply to this model.

Of course, there is a possibility that they have improved it further.

A brand I can very much recommend is GWinstek from Taiwan, I Know just in the past their name was also Good Will, hence GW if you want to search for older used scopes from them.
Their scopes are closer to Tektronix and LeCroy than Owon, Rigol and other similar Chinese brands if you want a good scope.
This company has been around for many many years and have very good and affordable scopes though not as cheap as Owon, Rigol etc, I have myself still since 20 years an old analog 40 MHz scope that still works.
