hi friends,

I built single supply absolute value with CA3140 from datasheet, but it's not work.
www.intersil.com/data/fn/fn957.pdf
I need it to rectify 0-2v sinewave ac input.
Do you have the working circuit in single supply?

Hello,

We need more information.  In the simplest of terms, a bridge rectifier is an 'absolute value' generator of sorts.  tell us about your application - what are you trying to achieve?  You have a 0-2v sine AC signal.. You need the absolute value of it.  Does 'Ground' Need to be referenced to one of the legs of the AC?  Do you need to amplify the signal at all?

hi PilotPTK,

I want to measure 50Hz ac voltage with AVR's ADC.
I need single supply to make it simple in design with less components, I use 12v battery as voltage source.

Does 'Ground' Need to be referenced to one of the legs of the AC?
Yes.
