Title: Help With A Little Project
Post by: jeanninemtv on January 05, 2006, 05:15:43 17:15
I NEED TO MEASURE THE RATIO BETWEEN IN AND OUT MEASURED BETWEEN A POWER TRANSFORMER ...

I THINK I WILL USE A PIC, BUT I HAVE A LOT OF PROBLEMS ABOUT CONDITIONING THE SIGNALS  (1 ...  10 KV- 220v  AC) TO THE "innocent"  pic analog channels.

can anyone of us help me?

  :o    :p

thanks, ...  i need the signal conditioning part, the microcontroller part is easy on basic!!

i dont know how to handle the KV and 220 V and put it to measure in / out with the lowest error possible

.... thanks my friends!!

it work fine in hard in one of my old projects
measure of rms value of the input Vin ,rms value Vout and display it on LCD 2*16
software with hitech 8.05, IDE MPLAB 6.40
enjoy:)

thanks, i think i can do the program for the micro by myself on basic...

but i need some help about howto make the conditioninng stage for the AC measurements ...   220V in one side of the transforemr and 1KV on the other side ....  ratio=  1KV/ 220 = ****

the sensor used in my designe is calculed for 220v, you can make a big resistance for 1kv, for the output you can use the same sensor (150k+100 k)*2 + 5k but for 1kva use multiplication by (1000/220) :) if you love your pic

it´s important you make your high sensor resistance with a chain of  resistor but not only one of great value to measure 1 kv. I used 6 resistors in series of 1 MOhm/1W and a preset of 100K with the cursor to the pic and a C of 1uF 25V.
