Title: com-0-com under w7-x64 didn't work
Post by: gabriel on July 16, 2011, 07:29:38 19:29
hello:
I downloaded the 64 version of com-0-com named "com0com-2.2.2.0-x64-fre", and installed it, but didn't succeed to get it working

anyone use com-0-com with W7-x64??

N.B: in the readme.txt file, they say to enable test signing, to type:
      bcdedit.exe -set TESTSIGNING ON
I opened a command line window, and typed it, I got an error message saying that bcdedit command don't exist  >:(

i am not using w64 but i can think it could be named bcdedit64 or even simpler file doesnt exist on your computer, try to search for file bsdedit if exists on computer or have a name with a 64 as ending could even be like bcdedt64 serch for file similar to the bcdedit name to see if u got something. you might need to download file too have a look at this page http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/hardware/gg463064

regards

bcdedit.exe is in windows\system32 folder, but it's a system file.
typing it in a command line window, give "'bcdedit' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file"

so how to run a system file in a command line window?

thanks
