tell us too what are u planning to do. maybe we could find some other solutions. I think that's important to have good development-simulation tools for you're chosen processor.

You can not compare ordinary microcontroller and DSP processor. DSP processors are optimized for DSP tasks, while microcontrollers are general devices.
Any microcontroller can perform DSP operations but are MUCH slower doing this because they are not optimized for DSP instructions.
Any DSP processor can also perform ordinary tasks but their price is usually higher.
First define your project specifications, then select components.
