I 'm looking for an easy home made jtag programmer for pic32mx family (including the pic32mx150f128b and pic32mx250f128b). I find in net a solution by arduino. Of course I have the universal jtag interface for the parallel port from elektor. The problem is the software. Also I have some dead stbs that include jtag port on the pcb and I need the software to make them alive again. It is needed to write again the flash memories with firmware. Homemade programmers are all kind of dodgy. Microchip use a JTAG variant that they trademarked as ICSP. For all OTP/Flash based controllers. This system are used for programming/debugging.
Title: Re: jtag programmer for pic32mx Post by: Gallymimu on September 16, 2012, 04:13:21 16:13 I would recommend against using JTAG with the PIC32. I have talked to some of the engineers as Microchip and they said that the JTAG port isn't very well supported and doesn't currently do much.
