I am currently working on laying out project 8 & 9 from sparkfun with Eagle Cad. This is from their training files section and is a good tutor on how Eagle works. This project is for a USB to TTL converter using a $3 FTDI chip and will be used with windows programs to program Ham radio and Commercial transceivers. I have also layed out an RS232 to TTL interface. This interface will be used for DOS based programs that are required by some software packages. It also programs Ham radio and Commercial transceivers. I would be happy to make these available if they would be of use to others. Please post here. It's the FT245R. You can chose the IO-lines by pin either for 3,3V or 5V. And RS232 to TTL can easily be done by MAX232. Also in response to Puta I tend to not purchase something I can build myself. Partly because I dont have a lot of money but mostly because I love to build projects... even to the point of designing and etching my own PCBoards. So I just thought it was a natural to offer it to others.
Like some here I dont have the resourses to post a lot of books and stuff so I try to add to the bottom line where I can. I have attched both schenmtics in pdf format. And net names Rx and Tx are for the controller side Rx-Tx.
