Title: Megadrum USB-Midi adapter PIC18F2550
Post by: slack on July 27, 2012, 11:19:33 23:19
I am planning to make USB-Midi adapter so I can use my old Roland synth with my PC.
I found very interesting Megadrum project and I thought to rip the USB-Midi part from schematics and make a standalone USB-Midi device.
I will design PCB and post it here when i make it.
But before I make it, I would like to hear some experiences about USB-Midi part of Megadrum if somebody has already made it and uses it.

If you just need an USB-MIDI converter then it’s cheaper to buy a cable converter from eBay.
They are very cheap, starting at $4 inc. postage.

Thank you.
I know, but I heard that cheap USB-MIDI adapters from ebay don't work with Win7. Is that true.

That’s not true. I have one cheap Chinese cable and it works under Win7 64bit.

If you think of source code for USB-Midi part of Megadrum, the only source I found is this one (for PIC18F2550).
