Title: WTD: PAR129 or PAR129A lock-in amplifier manual or schematic
Post by: cup58 on March 04, 2016, 06:58:24 06:58
Hi all,

I recently bought an "as is" Princeton Applied Research lock-in amplifier model PAR 129.
A visual inspection shows a few cables disconnected between two printed circuit boards. Tried to see if it was possible to determine where they were originally attached, but I was not able to get a definitive answer.
I looked for the manual on the internet, without success. Even contacted Advanced Measurement Technology (AMETEK), the company that gives support
for Princeton Applied Research products. They say the schematic and manual for the model I have are no longer available.
There is  PAR 128A user and service manual on the internet, but that is a single phase model; the PAR 129 is a dual phase (vector) unit.
I'll be very grateful if someone has and can share the manual for a PAR129 or PAR129A, or can point out where to obtain this manual.

Thank you in advance for your help

I've found the datasheets of similar devices:

(PAR 124/128 in particular):

http://mail.blockyourid.com/~gbpprorg/mil/cavity/lock/PAR_128_Lock-In_Amplifier.pdf
I do not if this could help you.

flyback and PICker:

Thank you very much for the links.

The University of Twente website shows a window with information on a 129 lock-in amplifier, although it is strange the manufacturer is listed as Philips, instead of Princeton Applied Research. I tried to see if the document can be accessed, but it is not clear how this can be done.

The PAR 128A lock-in amplifier is a single phase lock-in amplifier. Two of this amplifiers are combined to form the dual phase/ vector PAR 129/129A lock-in amplifier, but there are some stages in the 129/129A not found in the 128/128A.

Last week I found a 129 manual for sale, unfortunately not cheap, but since it seems there is no available electronic copy in the internet, I decided to bite the bullet and ordered it already. So this call for help can now be considered closed. Thank you again for your kind help.
