Title: +/- dual adjustable power supply help
Post by: MAXPAYNE on September 18, 2007, 06:37:40 06:37
I have found a ckt diagram for adjustable dual power supply at http://sound.westhost.com/project44.htm
but i didn't found the lm337 ic in the market.

Is there any alternative  or any other ckt diagram for at least 1A output u know?

Please help!
Thanks in advance :( :(

u can use lm317 and lm137/237/337  with together for doual adjustable power supply or use 7805 and 7905 with together with a knob potansiometer between GND pin and ground.
but your minimum voltage limit in +/_ 5.( lm317/lm337 limit is 1.2 volt) . u can find the circuit in 7805 datasheet.

Hello,

if your transformer has two insulated winding on the secondary, you can make 2 positives power supply with LM317, you need 1 diodes bridges more.

you connect le + of the second power supply to the gnd of the first one and you have symetrical power supply.

Here a small drawing to explain that on attachement.

Bye.

MAXPAYNE , The regulator LM337 is very reliable type , Alternative would be 555 timer type ckts to generate -ve supply , but not reliable at all.
