Has anyone heard any news on who is going to, or planning torelease compilers for the Pic32's?
80mhz and 32 bits should have a lot of power to play with.

Hi-Tech has announced the release of their new compiler targeting the PIC32 but I don't see a demo download on their website.

the free sdcc(small device c-compiler) is just a mess. Prove me wrong...

I think from microchip you can use mplab ver:8 to that micros.It´s too new micros, but very powerfull.

Microchip choose a proven core for his new PIC32 : MIPS32 (M4K Core) like PSP !!
So third party 'pro' and GNU compilers and devpt tools are coming.
Hitech, Ashling  and Green Hills.....

I think you will not find any Basic compiler currently.
