Title: W3LPL band pass filter design Post by: Dillon on August 09, 2010, 05:45:04 05:45 Several years ago I layed out a PCB for a band pass filter designed by the well known DXer W3LPL. I have built sevaral of these filter systems and used them extensively. They are great for field day systems or anywhere you have out of band interference. Recently redid the PCB and have placed a picture of it, the schematic and a short writeup on the filter into a pdf and uploaded it to the link below. can you give a few details like operating frequency, filter characteristics, Q etc. I dont want to download unnecessarily to find out its RF stuff Title: Re: W3LPL band pass filter design Post by: Dillon on August 11, 2010, 04:52:53 04:52 Well the band pass for 160M is from about 1.8 to 1.9 I think (it has been a few years since I measured it) but the Q varies from band to band. It covers 160, 80, 40, 20 & 10. These are the contest bands and where it is most useful. You can scale the values for other bands if you wish but I have never found a need to do that.
