I have searched the net for a digital RTD simulator schematic/project. Have not found one.
I would like to get past the tuning of a ten turn 200 ohm pot with a multimeter and then hooking it to the transmitter for testing, but not want to pay the big price of a ready made one.

Has anyone built one or have access to a schematic?

RTD is a temperature measurement device.

I used to use a resistor decade box to calibrate RTD circuits. It was a real antique (I think heathkit) good for .01 ohm. The nominal resistance was 350 ohm, I plotted the temps and did a least squares curve fit to come up with the values. Once I had the values, I just printed them out and used them to set any temperature.

I don't know the range or tolerance you are after, but I just checked Ebay and they had "decade boxes" in experimenter quality starting at 99 cents to several hundred dollars for a NIST calibrated version. I'd pay $10 just to experiment. The 1st one that came up went in 1 ohm steps. If you are just proving an idea, that's probably good enough.
