I don't know of any difference, they are both DTMF tranceivers by different manufacturers. I used them both without any visible difference!

I don't have the datasheets of both but probably package or sensitivity differences!

The different is only the manufacturers. You can use bouth with no difference...

MT8880 is from Mitel
CM8880 is from CML
are identical, i have used them
