Title: USB Condom (protect devices while charging in public plces)
Post by: sphinx on March 09, 2020, 12:03:20 00:03
this a little project i made i wanted to do some altium related stuff so i found this simple project to do.
schematics are made and pcb is placed no other documets are made so far.it is made in AD 20.0.13.

plesa read the schematics picture for info on choosing some of the resistors.

all the best sphinx

p.s. i made a bubu on pcb i missed to draw tracks on pusb1 connector 1 and 2 just a short tracks to fix.

This circuit enable  BC1.2 charging. it charges the mobile with 7.5W only (5V,1.5A)

So QC2.0, QC3.0 or any other fast charging doesn't work.

Thanks,
Sat

i was just wondering if there was a way to pass the QC signals thruu and not the "usb signals"
at the moment i am duckducking at some QC information to see if there is a possiblity or not.

thanks

so am i getting this right it is DC level on D+ and D- that is telling charger how to deliver voltages? and i need to block the AC signals for this to work.

so a simplish low pass filter would do the trick. just to figure out at what frequency to start cutting off.

thanks
