Y tried an example with push buttons and leds and timers. ( yes , a long time ago )
Compiled for PIC16F877
Load Circuit and Hex in Proteus.

Can you say, it real works ?

Works !!

It is a valid way to create code for PIC ( No complicated task but does the trick , for example Timers )

last time when I have seen this link was claiming that it generates code for pic chips. now I see that it able to do avr too.
