Update: I downloaded and installed 64 bit version. It seems to work. I have not tried all the functions.

Total download is 10 Gigs. X32 = 5 Gigs and x64 = 5 Gigs

Cracks are patched DLL's

Also Keep firewall up or disconnect Network as it calls home at begin install to verify serial number.

I downloaded the x86 parts (52 files + sfv ) and the download went fine. When I tried to open a file with WINRAR it ask for a password. I did open with WINRAR the sfv file and I thought the numbers (FC51D247 for part01) was the password, I guess not.
Where do I find or get the password so WINRAR will open these files?

Tracker responds "torrent file not registered",  but thanks to DHT/Peer Exchange
torrent is downloading now, shows 6 seeders and 88 peers.

Thanks for the help!!! I was able to open and install. Everthing opens fine except the SW 2010 drawing program itself. As it is opening a box pops up saying "An error has occurred and Solidworks needs to restart" Now I still have Solidworks 2007 installed. Could that be the problem. Should I uninstall '07?

it sounds like you have not installed the pathces correct, I've still got solidworks 2009 SP0 installed and both still work.

I had the same problem but reinstalled tha patches and everything worked ok

I thought that also but I checked the version and it is the correct one. I put the sldappu.dll in the C:\program files\solidworks corp\solidworks              it is version 18.0.0.5035.  I'm at a loss. I've done 2006 and 2007 no problem.but this one is giving me a headache!

Have you only patched 1 file,
the patches I applied as follows
E-drawings folder 3 dll files
photoview360 folder 1 dll file
simulation folder licnce.dat file
solidworks folder (win32) SLDAPPu.dll
swexplorer a patcher exe file

If not try this way and it shoudl work

You just maybe correct. I don't think I put the error correct in SWexplorer.  So I did that and first it said error fixed then it still would not work. So I'm doing it all over again.

The other solidworks (2006 & 2007) I got working just had one crack file and it was done. This one is a little more complicated.

Okay, I cleared everything out and tried again.  E-drawings, Photoview360, swexplorer seems to work.
Now when I installed SW2010 it ask me if I wanted to install simulation. Was I supposed to check yes? If so what serial #?
I think that maybe one problem.
Also when I copy swexplorer2pdmworks_crk  to swexplorer file when I click on it in the file it says error fixed.But after I try to
load SW I get the error message and it then  says "error Patching file" Also it does not say it is an .exe file it says it is an Application. My patch says:"swexplorer2pdmworks_crk"  NOT  "swexplorer2pdmworks_crk.exe"
And just curious what is this number for?...Serial Number: 04M7DP-PEJTNX-FR64BH-BVJB36-5K9QQW-AWD5VA

 1. Burn the DVD images on DOUBLE-LAYER DVD+R or mount via Alcohol 120% or Daemon Tools.      
 2. Point to X:/sldim/sldim.exe, where X is your DVD letter
 3. Install and use the enclosed serial [in sw2010_SolidSQUAD.nfo]
 4. Apply cracks from archive [by this copy the contents of the folders in the crack folder to your install folder]see wizpics last post two above this one.
 if you don't copy the cracks over  SW2010 makes out it's working but will fall over sometime later.
 5. Enjoy!

means you have file .extension or system files hidden, so windows don't show the .exe

I have done everything to the letter (except I used MagicISO, is that a problem?) and I still get an "error message".
I'll just go back to my 2007 for now.

I would have used nero or an other burning program to write the iso, or you could use winrar to unpack the *.iso to c:\sw2010 and run install from there.

I unpacked with WINRAR installed the paches but get the same error message.
I know I'm not doing some little thing or doing something incorrect.
One thing I do know Simulation is not installing completely. SW install ask for a password for simulation. Don't know what to use.

What version are you using? I have installed 64bit onto main pc and laptop.
Q. did you use the install serial to be found in the file sw2010_SolidSQUAD.nfo
there are two one starting >>> 0000 0000 0000 plus another 3 sets of numbers. (total 24 digits)
From starting install from setup.exe, The install don't ask for any other serials after that number is put in and install carrys on to finish.

I downloaded the x86, 52 rar files + sfv from Rapidshare.
I opened the files with WINRAR,
The first time I did a virtual mount with MAGICiso. Then under SW2010_SPO  I clicked on the RED SW cube and a window saying "SolidWorks 2010 SPO Installation Manager" comes up with a graphic of the bottom half of a motorcycle at the top. It ask me If I'm individual or Administrative, I chose the former, Click Next,
It ask for Serial Number, It already has the first 4 sets filled in correctly I filled in the last two set of four with proper letters and numbers as found in: Solidworks\SW 2010uz\solidSquad.   Then on the same page it ask for other serial numbers, For PDM,Simulation,Motion and Flow Simulation. If I click on Simulation it has a set of boxes for the numbers, I tried the same set as for the program itself and it says incorrect so I just leave those four choices unchecked. Then click next it checks my system and it starts install. Every thing seams okay. I then go to C:\ where it loaded and apply the patches as instructions in solidSQUAD crack file. The thing is everything, Solidworks, edrawings,photoview360 and explorer I find where to overwrite the patches to except for Simulation.Also I find no icon to setup Simulation.
So I click on the Desktop SW 2010 icon and SW 2010 graphic comes up and the a few seconds later the screen flickers and the a box pops up and says "an error has occurred and solidworks needs to restart".
Now when I unpack to C:\ with WINRAR A different small install window comes up, It has no motorcycle graphic, Just says install SW 2010 on my computer, It only ask for the serial number a few questions like sharing info I choose no and then install. Everything seems okay. After it completes install I find where to put all the cracks per instructions except for Simulation!! I can't find where to put the "license DAT file. Simulation Is in a sub folder and I don't see where to over write the DAT to. There is no   " SW Simulation progdir>\License". I have opened every folder and file to find the license and a setup but find none. So I do nothing for Simulation.
So when I click the desktop icon for SW 2010 It starts to open  I get the same flicker and the same error window pops up.
Thats all I know to tell you.

"write error in the file SW2001186\sw2011_sp0_x86_SSQ.iso. Probably the disk is full"
There is lot of space say 20GB on harddisk.
This heppens on the extraction upto  21% & when .05 rar is in use.

Propably your HD has Fat and not NTFS

If it is fat32, it goes upto 4.7gb. So i used the another computer with NTFS. but still the same problem.
Today now i am downloading .05 rar part from another file server.
I will check it tomorrow.

Downloaded SW2011.SP2.0.Win32 ..Does it require an original version of Solidworks ?
It appears to be just an update.

from my experience with with solidworks u need to get the sp0 release its most likely an update, still using 2008 not tried 2010 or 2011

How did you manage to install x32 SolidWorks on a x64 machine ?
If I tried that the installer of x32-version told me this is not a 64-bit machine, try another version.
However the SOLIDSQUAD med. works on 32- and 64-bit versions.
So what's the error ?
Did you follow the ReadMe exactly ?
Maybe try to install the 64-bit version. It could be that SolidWorks does not work correctly if it's 32-bit.

I believe this is a full version.  I don't have the disk space right now to install and try - sorry.  For SW, unless it's a full version, you need to install each and every update release in sequence (a total pain, IMO).

I have the SSQ release but it's still SP0.0

I reviewd the posts in this threads and the most of the links aren't working.

Anyway I could get:

2008 SP0 x86 (working serial and patch works SSQ, tested in XP)
2008 SP5 only updates (attached patch doesn't work, tested in XP)
2011 SP0 x86-x64 (working serial and patch SSQ, tested in XP)

I'm trying to get 2012 (with the highest SP) just for testing. 2013 is not suitable because I use XP and still will use it for long time.

If someone needs some of these I can upload. I prefer working with relatively old versions like 2008, but also collect some newer because they are hard to get later.

If you have a working patch for the 2008 updates, I "need" them :D

A couple of hosts are available, did you try each? I cannot confirm, but I doubt the file is corrupt in both locations.

Yeah sorry about that. It's SolidCAM_2014_S1_SSQ (disk image file). I'm on windows 8.1 with allow unsigned drivers enforced. Maybe I'm not understanding the process in the readme text (which is the same as what hosmis has posted above in #108) on how to move the files around.

When it says "Unpack all folder from your localization archive to <SolidCAM 2013 progdir> (by default C:\Program Files\SolidCAM2014\) and overwrite original ones" It's possible that I'm doing that wrong because I don't see original language files to overwrite. Also I never see the hasp keys installed on my device manager.

I feel like such a noob. I use to be a wiz at this but not anymore I guess :(
 

by default C:\Program Files\SolidCAM2014\ if you install to any other than default path, as with most programs, patches and cracks don't work, or are a pain to fix, so always install to default folders.

just like the pass word to a laptop was by word of mouth GreatGrandDaughter only problem was the person who put in the password could not spell.

Do Solidworks KeyGens actually work?

We have SW at my work so I can copy the install files, no problem. Of course at work we use a license server - I can't copy that!  So for home use, what "medicines" do I need to apply to crack SW so it'll work?  On the internet I've seen SW keygens mentioned; is that's what's used here? I'm loath to download a multi-gigabyte torrent file just to answer the question, I hope you understand  :D Hence the questions.

you maybe lucky and get a licence file and patched files, only problem trying to save a large download is,
 If the patch & licence files don't match your version it may not get fix...

It happens so many times someone has fix files and says download from developers site,
then developer changes the install file, and the fix no longer works.

You want the fixes by SSQ, they are clean and flawless. I would stay away from anything else. which version do you have? perhaps we could post just the SSQ fix for what you need.

We use SW 2016, I believe with the service pack (SP1).  However we also use 2015. Either is fine by me, if fixes are available for either of them.

My friend got a cease and desist and demand letter from solidworks lawyers.  They said they would "settle" if the company buys solidworks premium, all plugins, and 1yr maintenance for each instance of infringement.

The EULA says they have the right to take identifying information from your network and send it back to solidworks (scary).  I would guess they target small companies they can extort rather than individuals.  Obviously this can be avoided if solidworks IPs and domains are known and blocked in the firewall and hosts files.

No need for a hosts list. Simply block all outgoing accesses for the Solidworks application in your firewall, so it will not be able to "call home". As you should do for every program that you use in an "unofficial" way.

By the way, I just checked right now the log of my firewall and I see that it blocked Solidworks from reaching around 10 different servers today while I was using it, all with very different addresses. So it is definitively much easier to block all accesses in the firewall for Solidworks, than trying to guess all the addresses to block.

Blocking SW at the firewall is a good start, but what if SW are using codearmor ( or similar) ?  While I have found precious little info on codearmor, it does appear to be able to phone home whenever it gets a chance and not necessarily using anything to do with the main app its self. ( perhaps using an approved process like svchost or IE etc)  So blocking SW would do little if were protected with it.  
The only safe way would be to use it on a system with no identifiable info and no network connections at all ... or at least behind a VPN ( although it would only take one mistake  and the info is out)
Not fear mongering, just food for thought.   IS SW protected with Codearmor ? don't know , but you never know, they might have written their own protection module , ala Nuhertz)
Of course it goes without saying that using any of this stuff on a company network is just plain stupid.

Yeah they were stupid but people get careless.  What's scary is it doesn't appear that solidworks contacted the ISP i.e. they got enough info from the phone home to dig up the details.  Pretty crummy of solidworks to immediately send the info on to the lawyers to try and terrify people.  I suppose the approach is up to their discretion.  

someone must have done some analysis and determined what they are using whether it be the main app, a peripheral app or an existing windows service.  It would also be nice to know WHAT information they are stealing from people's networks.

If it were me I'd want a list of hosts to block AND stopping the exe's explicitly.

If you are worried about a program phoning home, stopping ethernet
is a sure way to defeat it.

Change "Ethernet1" to whatever your active Ethernet port is called
and save this line to a text file and rename it LAN_OFF.bat :

Guys, obviously having no internet / ethernet connection solves it.  But not being online while using the SW tools is a huge pain isnt it?
What we seek is a way to keep internet available while stopping the SW rogue programs / methods from phoning home.

I'm surprised SSQ hasn't addressed this issue in the main patching. Anyhow, I recall a way to stop SW from calling home from some time ago, I will see if I can dig it up.
There are also programs like little snitch / wireshark that can identify the networks processes are trying to access - maybe a way to start a list.

BTW, since somebody mentioned IE running via codearmor or some such, cant IE just be disabled? I dont use it as my browser so Im happy to nuke that POS if there is a way.

Running SW on VM with "host only networking" is maybe safer though one loses a bit of the performance, but with today's powerful PCs it is not such a big deal. No SW online tools in such case obviously.

But surely codewarrior uses some process to call home? Some executable has to be running for it to do this so whats the process?

haha, it's called codearmor.  I haven't found any info on where it hides.  Certainly it has to be executing a process to call home, but if they were smart they'd mask it under standard windows services.

Asking for help with the launch of a solidcam.
I installed the solidworks 2016 SP5 that goes without problems.
Then I installed the solidcam first 2016 sp0 then sp1 and finally 2017 SP1 hf1 unfortunately not one version.
I do not know where the problem is, run as administrator - install.cmd, and then the USB controllers appeared in the driver panels two new drivers (sentinel Hasp key driver version 7.54.0.0 and sentinel USB key 7.54.0.0) as always when I had previous versions installed .
Does it drive you to anyone without any problems? Can anyone advise me what I'm doing wrong versus previous versions?

Well, well. After six interminable years Apple finally released a successor to the MacTube made out of 100% pure-grade unaffordium. I know you wanted those mind-blowing specs, but it’s out of your budget and anyway Solidworks is single-threaded so you’re fooling yourself if you think you need a jetpack to go to the hardware store. I know you wanna look great getting there, but you. don’t. need. it. You don’t! Maybe they’ll make a Pro for the Rest of Us someday, but until then:
You got a 16" MacBook Pro! Congratulations! 64GB of RAM is nothing to sneer at, and the hardware horsepower will cut minutes off your rendering times. Plus it has a hardware ESC key, just like olden times. Wowie wow!
Once you get your VM installed, the first thing that’s gonna blow your mind is that you can copy the VM image (well, in Fusion at least) from your old machine straight over and you won’t even have to reauthorize Windows or Solidworks. Even more surprising is that, you’ve already hacked the registry on your old machine, against all good reason Fusion will believe your graphics hardware hasn’t changed on the new one, but it’s…crashy. So you’re going to want to fix your registry settings BEFORE you experience the subtle, but pernicious bugs that will cost you hours of work.
One other interesting side note is that software GL on the new MBP is astonishingly good — for a hot second I had accidentally reverted my registry and didn’t notice until I tried to switch on RealView and it was greyed out. If you don’t need RealView, at least you can finally get decent performance without having to munge around with delicate system settings. If that’s you, stop now and go watch cat videos or something.
A huge shoutout to Sean Murphy for contributing hours of trial and error in working this guide out and sharing it with the rest of us.

Step 1: Launch the Registry Editor. In the Windows search bar, type “regedit.”
Step 2 (optional for the fearless/foolish): Export a backup of your registry. I still never do because my life is actually that boring.
Step 3: Go to Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SolidWorks\SOLIDWORKS ####\Performance\Graphics\Hardware\Current and note the Renderer label. It should be something like SVGA3D; build; RELEASE; LLVM;. Copy that whole string, semicolons and all. You’ll need it to create a new Key later. In the Current key, change the value of the Workarounds DWORD from 10 to 4000480
Step 4: Go to Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SolidWorks\SOLIDWORKS ####\Performance\Graphics\Hardware\Gl2Shaders\Other. In the left tree of RegEdit, right click on Other. Select New->Key. Paste the name of the Renderer from above exactly as shown in Current (semicolons and all!). In the new folder in the right RegEdit window, right click and create a new 32-bit DWORD. Name the new DWORD Workarounds and give it a value of 40000.
Step 5: Go to Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SolidWorks\SOLIDWORKS ####\Performance\Graphics\Hardware\VMware, Inc. Select the Workarounds key and change the value to 4000480.
Step 6: Double check that there is a sub key to VMWare, Inc. (i.e. Gallium, Fusion’s openGL driver) (Good chance there is, so if it’s not there…worry). If so, open folder and change Workarounds value to 4000480.
Step 7: Close the Registry Editor and restart Windows. (You might get away without rebooting, but probably not. Just do it.) Launch Solidworks after restarting and either open a file or start a new one. You should see the RealView icon not greyed-out, and under Options > Performance “Use software OpenGL” should be greyed out and unchecked. Now you’re on hardware GL. Win!
Step 8 (optional): Export a backup of your registry with the new settings. You shouldn’t have to worry about this much since you now have this guide to refer to, but in I still have PTSD from SW2018 aggressively resetting the registry after every launch through several service packs. Reloading the registry is way faster than redoing all these settings every time. SW2018 can burn for all eternity.
Step 9 (even more optional): Autodesk is cutting some killer deals on Fusion360 subscriptions lately. I know Solidworks is the 800lb gorilla, industry standard, and all that, but one of these days someone needs to knock them off the throne so they will actually innovate and offer competitive pricing. Fusion is looking pretty tasty. Be that guy.
[A note about Realhack, for the curious: I haven’t had any success with Realhack in several generations. Perhaps it works better with non-Apple spec’ed hardware. I always give it a shake first, to my continual disappointment.]

Sadly I have seen an issue with treehouse in SW > 2018 not displaying when using the accelerated graphics, If you switch back to normal graphics it works, YMMV.
