I like share with you a my thought, all storical IC company maker are joining, is it not curious?

TI bought National Semiconductor [2011]
NXP bought Freescale (ex Motorola) [2015]
Microchip bought Atmel [2016]
On Semiconductor bought Fairchild [2016]

What do prospect us the future?

ST is still free  :D

Not sure what your point is, but the semiconductor industry has been consolidating for far longer than 2011.  It's a normal thing as industries mature and price pressures increase.

2000 Burr Brown...,  etc etc etc.

similar to microchip that bougth atmel... it was a scoop for me... :D
