Willing to share what I'm learning with the rest of the forum community. I came across a Picturetel PTZ-2N at a recycle place, which I bought for $2 usd. Got it home and bodged together a power supply and built a serial cable for it. It powers up and has a great video image from the Sony evi336. I am now trying to get control of it through my linux/windows box, and this forum is the best info I've found yet. As I said I'm a hobbyist not a pro, and I am a firm supporter of open source...Thanks for your consideration. Shanem21 |
