Title: AT89C55WD programmer Post by: mr_byte31 on February 05, 2018, 10:50:40 10:50 Hi All,
I am looking for a simple programmer for AT89C55WD so I can build it. I searched the internet but couldn't reach any valuable information. there is only one programmer at microchip website which is really expensive to me. I also found a parallel programmer on internet but my PC doesn't support this interface anymore. any suggestions ? did you try any circuits for this controller? Title: Re: AT89C55WD programmer Post by: kayvee on February 13, 2018, 03:11:25 15:11 I'd agree with pickit2, the MiniPro is a good way to go.
Then you can use it on any other future project that comes along. Why ? did you try any circuits for this controller? It is cheaper to buy the MiniPro TL866cs and upgrade it to TL866A plus you get all the adapters thrown in. The only supported device I could finf did not include any of the 18FxxKxx series, did I miss something? Title: Re: AT89C55WD programmer Post by: sphinx on February 13, 2018, 07:50:13 19:50 the TL866A has a icsp port TL866CS does not, but is upgradeable to a TL866A if wanted to do
some extra work to change firmware and adding a icsp connector. The 18FxxJxx and 18xxKxx are programed the same way. the K devices are just newer. But then you do have a Pic Programmer, don't you. if your using Pic devices other than just the one off. For a list of devices is here. Note: there maybe a newer list of devices. wink or add your own devices, if you know where to look. http://www.autoelectric.cn/minipro/miniprosupportlist.txt Title: Re: AT89C55WD programmer Post by: towlerg on February 14, 2018, 03:37:58 15:37 Quote The 18FxxJxx and 18xxKxx are programed the same way. the K devices are just newer. I guess that true in principle (modified SPI) it doesn't seem to be true in detail. In their infinite wisdom, Microchip have issued separate programming specs for the J and K series.I have bought a Pickit3 specifically because it claims to support 18F26K42. If I could find a PK2DeviceFile.dat with 18F26K42 (although I did find for 18F26K22) I'd stick with my trusty Pickit2. also, this one seems simple enough to build (this should work with a serial <-> usb converter) http://www.shrubbery.net/~heas/willem/8051-avr2/index-9.htm |
