i am sharing a project in dev stage as an idea with a master block and with latched relay channel 1-8
to be used as power on for for up to 250w per channel 1-8 of them like phone chargers or any lowish power comsumption where one can turn on and of each channel to not consume electricity

using panasonic DE2a-L2-5V for this purpose any other dual coil latching relay can be used just change the design, i want this to consumes as little power as possible while in use

the switches in schematics are just there as test those i couldnt find any toggle switches on-off and (on)-off-(on) just to be able to route the circuits so be aware of that
the earthgnd is just there as a sort of safety since the channels havea 5vdc and 230vac side

the master block works as when power gets lost it makes a pulse out thus sending a turn off signal to the channels

every channel can be turned on and off locally on each channel, so if there is a power is (or it is turned off thru the master switch) lost the channels get "reset" to off thus if power gets back everything is in a "zero" state not consuming power

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT 230VAC IS PRESENT AND THAT THERE IS A 10.000UF CAP THERE

proteus simlulation of the master block is included got the pulse but need some real tests to see if idea works

gotta order parts to test/experiment,

any ideas/tips are allways welcome

soft used AD/ADA 26.3 and proteus 9.1 sp4

p.s. when all channels are used the short pulse is to be reckon with and no thin wiring  > 0.75mm2 and make those as short as possible!

added schematics, if using less than 8 channels a smaller capacitor could be used but i think that needs testing.

also the wirebond layer is for jumper-wires and only using top/bottom

also dubble doublecheck my mosfet/relay (whole circuit), who know when fiddling with db's columns tables form and creating symbols and footprints... if murphy came to help

the opto to be used is LTV-814 i just used a pin compatible one

manso many things to remember to tell

you can use a bistable relay or a stepper relay instead of the double coil relay, this would simplify the wiring diagram

i can understand the with a single/double coil/s it is a bistable type

cant figure how to search other bistable latching typess of this or even the workings of other types

i remember seeing the steepper type at "telia" many years ago with all the clicketiclacks, same as with this how find these and price level as well

not to fancy l/pint sized box on kitchen counter, rather smallish size preferably.

in my design one could make it all in a onebox or a master and separate blocks the channel, i would love to have it all in a powerstrip with up to 8 channels
or a long box same lenght as power strip 50x35 and slightly bigger where the cap it placed on the side of the powerstrip

strangely enough the width of pcb are the same and one could lay cap down on its side this ans same with cap on the channel boards the this would fit in a 20-25mm by 50mm and
depending on how many channels would be used 175mm for one channel and max 725mm one could also make boards a bit shorter to shorten it up a bit

one could also try and find some plastic profile with channels on sides and just slide pcbs in and make pcb's slightly wider or narrow em up to fit
