I found some super capacitive touch sensors, just wanted to share with you

they work fine, around 1cm distance

search aliexpress for :-

TTP223 Touch button Module Capacitor  $8 for 50

also

HTTM series capacitive touch switch button module     - more expensive, but multi colour, and displays light upwards
