i want to make a bipedal robot that can move when it detects light. it depends on light intensity. i will use a light dependent resistor (ldr). Anyone Please help me...
i have 8 servo motor, 4 in each leg. And i want to add 2 ldr as an eye to the bipedal robot, which it will move when it detects light.
I will use PIC16f84a as the mcu.

How can i connect the ldr and to the pic?
Will i use an adc converter? What ic will i use?

Pls help me.. i want to make this robot because this is my project.

My idea is ,to connect ldr and  one capacitor  10nf directly to pic pin and ,use POT statement in PBP basic.
That statement measure time which capacitor is full charged that depends on ldr resistance! 16f84 not have internal ADC.use search to find POT specification...or implement software rutin to measure time of high state of pin.

try and get your hand on a copy of PIC Microcontroller Project Book
by John Iovine. very sure you can get a wealth of information about this project especially bi - pedal robot.
