I have just blown my PIC programmer  Angry

mclr is broken.

does anyone have a schematic, or can point me to the failing chip ?

I think that the CCS ICD-U64 is the updated version of the CCS ICD-U40 (http://www.farnell.com/datasheets/1728566.pdf).
Unfortunatly is quite hard to find an U64 schematic. I've found some U40 schematics but I do not if this can help you:
