Car repair

I have some interest those days to learn more about fixing cars.
I started to watch some youtube channels and found them quite helpful.
My problem , people on internet don't explain more about the concept behind those components and how to fix/repair/trace them.
one example is about filling the air conditioner in the car.. they say check this and that and do this and that. I don't know what those components are and what they do.
it seems like it is a blind fixing steps to get rid of specific problem.
I was asking of their any training/courses which is complete and explain in details a lot of stuff for car mechanics, electricity, ... ?

Audi publish a Self Study Programme that describes the various systems in detail, here's an overview document:
http://www.volkspage.net/technik/ssp/ssp/SSP_282_d1.pdf
. You can Google for other parts.

This is really helpful.
This is the complete list I could found :
http://www.vaglinks.com/vaglinks_com/docs/ssp/
isn't there any video trainings instead ? i think you need to see how they handle such parts ...
