exactly i dont have the schematic ...

but from www.avrfreaks.net, i found JTAGICE compatible (..only) so you can debug, program AVR, inside IDE which support it, try this

http://www.avrfreaks.net/index.php?module=Freaks%20Academy&func=viewItem&item_id=1075&item_type=project

or google JTAG twice ....

or Evertool
Evertool is an AVRISP/STK500-protocol and JTAGICE compatible Programmer/JTAG debugger.
    http://www.siwawi.arubi.uni-kl.de/avr_projects/evertool/index.html

or you want STK500v2, AVR910 , USB/SPI, JTAG,
    go http://www.ullihome.de/index.php/USBAVR-ISP/de

or http://www.embedded-projects.net/index.php?page_id=165

AVRminiProg is a programmer only, isn't?

With JTAG ICE MkII you can also debug your programs via JTAG or DebugWire.
I have an MkI clone. Unfortunatelly it does not support the newer devices.

Hi edi14_10
attiny series support debugwire (not all device).
atmega series support jtag (not all device ) some device support debugwire.
more information for each device visit http://www.atmel.com/dyn/products/devices.asp?family_id=607

unfortunately atmega8 doesn't support debug mode because it's no on chip debuger

Thanks, but JtagICE speed is very slow comparison with JTAGICE mk2. If anyone have a full JTAGICE mk2, please up to for everyone.
