I used to order shielded HV cables and respective single pole connectors from HiVolt.de

However, as of lately they don't sell in quantities less than 1000 m and 10 connectors which is simply too much for my purposes.

Does anyone know of any retailer who sells similar products in reasonable quantities?

I have ZERO affiliation or any experience with this seller, but if you only need small quantities they might be an option...

How high do you need to go?

I've used RG393 and solid dielectric (very important it is solid) RG8 for voltages up to 5-10KV.  Also used a lot of LEMO connectors for HV but they are pricey.

It sounds like you need to go much higher though.  We were using this stuff for sputter magnetrons and PECVD.

A modified PL259 connector can be used. The case and the pin is used, and new teflon isolation pieces are made on the lathe.

I successfull use those modified connectors with a RG213 cable for CW magnetron power supplies. I used some special HV connectors, but I had only some pieces left.
The original had a long conical teflon piece with the contact on the end, and the panel part had appropriate teflon sleeve. The distance from the shield to the contact was about 30 mm.
But for the magnetron connections home-made connectors are OK. Even a good RG58 was used succesfully.

Unmodified BNC connectors with RG58 were used in another pulse application (about 3kV DC max) without any sparking.

Yes, the RG58 is rated for 2.5 kVrms which refers to 3.5 kV DC.

I'm using RG58 if for up to 25 kV DC with a (current limited) test generator, no failure up to now. A modified BNC connector is working for it, having the RG58 center conductor and dielectric protrucing the plug case by about 100 mm with a 2mm pin soldered to its end.
