uh, I'm not a member of that forum, but, why would someone just randomly give you an invite because you ask for it?  What's the upside for the sonsivri member to help you out?

What I'm getting at is if you want something it's best to offer something to entice people, like "I have this experience and want to help the group blah blah blah"

Absolutely.  I'm fortunate enough to be a member of that forum.  I'm not as active as I would like (or possibly should be) - But I would not jeopardise my reputation there by inviting someone I know nothing about.

How many cracks have you posted on this forum?
In case you don't or have a couple of them here, you better be direct and ask for the things you need from that forum.

"Fortunate" is the right word aplank. I was a member, now my membership has expired more than a couple of years ago and I have not been able to renew it. I remember there were a lot of interesting things to find there.
