Hi All,

I am  trying to trouble shoot a Power supply of Ekspla make  Nd:Yag Laser in our lab.
The details of the laser is as follows.

 Make: Ekspla
 Model: NT342/3

Initially we observed that the simmer card, which gives 1kV simmer voltage to flash lamp
was not giving any output.  After replacing faulty IGBTs in the SMPS section of the
simmer card, its output is started to appear and flash lamp starts flashing.
But when we power on the power supply, the flash lamp flashes for five times
and go off. It is not showing a sustained glow. Sustained glow is required to start lasing.

Any member who have any experience in such power supply development or repair
may kindly give your advice to further proceed from here.

Thanks and Regards
Itp

I have no words about repairing the power supply, but if some replacement needed maybe this source is good - they have prices on their website.
