Hi for all
so i'm start to make electronic animator for LED sign you can programme the sequence with software and send it to PIC with rs-232
the digital side is ok but for power side i don't know how i drive the LED with MOSFET  or bipolaire transistor what is the best solution
i see on this project used STP36NF06
http://picprojects.org.uk/projects/bigmosfetrgb/index.htm

Mosfet with low RdsOn is the best, logic level mosfet is needed for driving directly by uC.

I use IRLI3705 (55V 52A logic level) bought from Digikey for similar application, no heatsink required on driving 24V 8A led array.

Or you can also take a logic level FET from almost any old PC motherboard
