[RANT ON]
Some members post links that require Premium-Account. I suspect these members do not bother to check the links. Before using cut and paste from other sharing sites. I find those Premium-Account links quite annoying. I think as first time offence doing this. A warning is in place. Next time a mute. Thierd time your are out. This site is about sharing stuff that you find useful with other members or help others. You do not have to post anything just boost your number of postings.

I'm in favour of a Mute for posting to Premium Account, some users here look as if they are posting for profit. (muted a few this past week)
This has been put forward for a New Ruling, but it's covered by other rules, one being "Cut&Paste"
As I have said "You the poster take responsibility for your postings" "Post it and its Yours"

I'll modify existing rule to make it clear "we don't want premium account gets benefit". Everything should be clear and accessible.

You guys may not like it, but I see it on other sites and it works really well. List two or three "approved" hosts, accessible as free accounts worldwide, works on downloaders, and with a premium speed option for the impatient.

Even though I'm very poor these days, I for one don't mind buying one premium account or two, but the dozens that show up here are ridiculous, even if they are freely accessible, and it seems new ones crop up almost daily.

Could it be, that then a link become downloaded a certain number of times. It will require a premium account, at some hosting sites. I know for sure the link for the ebook posted here http://www.sonsivri.to/forum/index.php?topic=52085.msg150110#msg150110 was premium before it got broken. I tried to friendly ask egstudio that question. And someplace in his rant of an answer. It looks like it was non premium. Hosting sites are much like any other business is there to make money. And I think this could be some new trend among hosting sites. I can confirm that hosting site used for the magazine site posted here http://www.sonsivri.to/forum/index.php?topic=52092.msg150127#msg150127 Works that way

The problem is posting to a premium site is not the issue, its when posts are on a premium site when there is no need.
Premium sites come in to their own, when you have a load of files, or the size is large.

We need a list of approved sites to use in forum.
free sites like the following where not used in the rant/of premium sites.

http://www.zippyshare.com  * I find this to be one of the better free hosting sites multi-downloads allowed.
http://4sheared.com            * one month payment and all PE and Elektor can be had..
http://rapidgator.net            * Limited speed but V.good for music&film
http://ul.to/                         * premium is very good.. free non working for me.
http://depositfiles.com
http://www.filefactory.com
http://www.mediafire.com

Also large files can be split, to help users that can't afford to pay for premium downloads.

If the uploader has an account in some other hosting, it wouldn't be fair to force him use a company from the this list.

I want to draw attention to the new free file sharing, private Internet service provider, the file size to 2 GB, the storage time of 30 days, high speed downloads. Easy to download and upload files. True language file hosting site in Russian, but it is easy to translate with Google.

This is Not the problem, members always have the right to where they post their files, the list was to show what is there.
It has been seen that a lot of such files to premium sites have been cut&paste as the post Sideshow make here.
