I also like the idea of a dedicated FPGA/HDL section.

How many here use FPGA/HDL?

When it comes to VHDL, who prefers coded VHDL to schematic capture?  I use both/mixed schematic capture and coded VHDL, because as a hardware type, I 'see' hardware as schematics not code, but in heavy logic equation use, then custom coded HDL is used as a module block in my schematic capture process.

I agree a separate section is a good idea. I use VHDL.

you need to prove it is worth it.
RTOS is a topic that was so badly needed, last post in topic was so long ago, I was going to ask for it to be released.
As to RTOS topic, what is the value of this post?

It would be nice if there were a place to share projects and thoughts.  I just bought my first dev board....

see my post above, a board with very little up take.
There is a project board, if there is demand then maybe Sonsivri will allocate space for new topic.

Because FPGA is taken more and more relevance nowadays, maybe is a good idea to have a separate section for FPGA and HDL, and also refresh some links about related books.
Intel bought Altera, Microsoft is implementing FPGA in his data centers.
