I have a long shift register with lot of CD4094 driving some 7 segment displays and some led bars.
I need to replace with a LCD ( or GLCD) display, using a PIC or an AVR
I must use the same signal I have for CD4094, they are Data, Strobe, Clock, and of course GND and Vcc.
Can someone help me with some code -some sort of PICbasic or AVRbasic?
Any help appreciated
Thank you

Hi anode,

Look at this site (this is a 2 wire lcd interface, also with a simple asm source code):

http://www.myke.com/lcd.htm

Hope this helps!

Hi
If I understud you well you have to get data as a 4094 then send this data to a LCD..
maybe using spi will do your job nice and clean, and putting strobe to int or some other pin,
I have some code for 18f452 to drive a LCD but I use D0-D7,RS,RW and E ,code is in ccsc

My circuit with 6 x CD4094 works well, but the use of led bars  and 7 segment displays makes it a little old.
I'm unable to use C or asm, but I can try with basic, I have built some custom circuit with basic and
they work quite well.
I want to exchange the PCB with 6 CD4094 with another PCB with a PIC or AVR and a LCD display.
The problem is: I must use the same connection I use with '4094: Clk, Str, Data.
Do you know a way to do it with some Basic and a PIC or AVR?
Using a LCD instead of led bars and 7 segment displays also makes the front of the box easier to build.
...help.....
