Twisting a bit from solder paste to woodworking thing, I am looking for Cabinet Design software, any of:

- EasyCab
- Cabinet Vision
- CabnetWare
- KCDW
- CabinetPlanner
- CabinetPro
- etc

If someone on his/her travel found them please share. Or, perhaps any medicine maker interested work on one of it?

Thanks for the suggestion Solutions, haven't tried it but looks like Chief Architect is for interior design or home planner, what I am looking for is a software to design and build wooden cabinets - it needed to have the output capability of how to cut the wood.

Just found a copy of this Polish Software PRO100 - look promising, have a look. I am downloading it now, will post it if it is a worthy one.

With a full size cnc router and a good software we can easily cut some woods and make a very nice gift to our wom(e)n.




Or, for sure making money from it... jajaja i am an opportunist

Ichan, there are 2 steps in furniture design - designing and cutting.  PRO100 and similar do the 1st step. For cutting (especially in high scale) you shall need a separate sw, which is usually offered separately. Pro100's brother is "Nowy Rozkroj"
You can get it here: http://rghost.ru/39321835 After unpacking delete file demo.rus to get the English interface. Despite beeing called demo, it is a fully functional version.

What is the actual size ? size shows 695 MB. but after downloading it is 131 MB !!! :O

Perhaps you should redownload file, 695MB is a correct size.

to get english in PRO100 a language *.enu file is necessary, the exe file doesnt include language so its sort of general with no language included. thats what i have figured out

Yes, indeed there is a problem with English localization. English demo has version 4.69 and .enu does not mate with 4.42..

So far there are 2 choices:
1. learn Russian or
2. use Pro100 4.16

Thanks for that, it doesn't run if the file demo.rus deleted - i think as being said before it will need a demo.eng file. Just barely tried it, is this software has similar function like "CutList"? The later only give the output of how to arrange wood cuts on the panel - all just as rectangle outer boundary of the wood shape.

I tried the Pro100 v4.16 which is in english, a really nice software but disappointed that it can not generate dxf or such file output of the woods to be cut.

Found another software on the jungle, TrunCAD 3Dgenerator, an amazing software - it will generate the furniture based on our parametric input, look at their example. Available on the net is v9.0.1 and v8.x.x, tried the first one but disappointed again that i can not make it to be in english  - if any one knows how then please tell.

I just tried to install both Cabinet Vision and NcCenter, yes the first one work and the second one has no medicine.

Now i remember why the old one only stay for a while on my pc last time (it is V4.1), this software has no manual nor sample files!

That's a fake one i guess. If you search for Pro100 on filestube then many link to V5.20 appears, but looks like all in Russian.

What i found so far the idea behind this findings is called "Screen to Machine", a software which we design the cabinets on Screen and then can generate output ready to go to Machine.

Three software with this capability that i found:
1. Cabinet Vision. Lack of user manual and tutorial, even has not a single samples - what are they trying to hide?
2. Pro100 with some add ons. Mostly in Russian (and Polish?), Pro100 USA has a bundle for CNC at almost $9K - here is an interesting video of it.
3. Truncad 3D Generator, can not find a working english version.

Hi Guys! The NcCenter link was very helpfull. Here you can find The Best Of Fine Woodworking 1 http://filepost.com/folder/4aam2955/ and The Best Of Fine WW 2 http://dfiles.eu/folders/5BZYLAYPK in parts, so no premium needed. I've found Truncad Multilanguage, but it's not properly translated in English, i guess the pill causes problems. And for CNC output I've found Xilog and WoodyWop. Haven't tried yet, because i prefer the Cabinet Vision. Currently in learning process. The program is a bit too complex from beginning, but very promising. They have youtube channel, where you can get some ideas. But so far the best cabinet software in my opinion is IMOS http://www.imos3d.com/en/home.html. I've been searching a lot for "shared version", but didn't succeed.

Dear friends,
Found this workaround for PRO100 English Interface. If you have the russian version just replace PRO100.rus with PRO100.plk and you are done!
Also if you want the complete libraries download the polish version (torrent included). I have tested the sw.
Credit to the anonymous person who uploaded this in the first place!

This is a beautiful software with a lot of material and part / element library, a worthy 1.8GB download. It seems need another software to output the design into 2d cutting plans, cut optimizer it's name?

There is another software lying around the web, Truncad 3DGenerator 9.0.35 in multilanguage, which is also works. This software can output 2D drawings of the design so it is easier to go to a cnc router machine.

I just tried the last link of the Truncad 3D Generator from cdr_spock, it is working (W7/64) - compared to the previous version available this one is more than twice as big because now it has a lot of manual and video documentation, very useful.

When installing, let the demo run once (do not patch it yet), close the app then apply the patch.

That is the way i do on the second attempt which works, on the first attempt i apply the patch first and got some error where the app failed to start.

Installation:
1. Download the full polish version from the included torrent
2. Copy the file "PRO100.PLK" to your installation directory and you're done!!!
3. Now you have PRO100 5.20 with english user interface.
For those names in the library pane to be changed you have to manually edit the pro100.ini file.

It's the V4 executable that doesn't run on x64 - I tried it out just now. I can't tell if the patch does anything as well on an x64 machine. Win XP compatibility mode on the executable comes up with a big zero as well.

Version 5 executable does run on x64, but the patch likely doesn't run on x64. Wouldn't matter if it did or didn't, the V5 uses a h/w dongle so the code would be different.

Do you have anyone working Pro100 5.20 ? I have this version but I can't dock library to right side and in status line i see "Unable to load tree structure, the version is unknown".
